This quick morning sketch is part of my Empty House series, painted just outside what was once my home. The small gate, framed by dense overgrown foliage and mottled ironwork, seems to whisper stories of summer afternoons, childhood footsteps, and a life that once passed through it daily. The expressive brushstrokes reflect both the passage of time and the bittersweet intimacy of memory.
