This painting was created during a visit to my dear friend Lynn, who now lives at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. Lynn was the friend who first introduced me to plein air painting when we both lived in Dallas.
We’ve painted together in many places—from Texas to Spain—but since her move to Colorado, opportunities to meet have become rare. Missing her dearly, I made a spontaneous trip to visit, and this was the first scene we painted together in her new mountain home.
